NDSS- National Down Syndrome Society

This is the official Down Syndrome website. It provides information about Down Syndrome, how to provide for your child with downs, early intervention plans, transition and adulthood.
American Council of the Blind
This service provides general information about the Council, including recent issues of our monthly publication, The Braille Forum.
Developmental Disabilities Resource Center
Provides services that create opportunities for people with developmental disabilities and their families to participate fully in the community.
The National Center on Physical Activity and Disability
Provides health information, specialized physical activity plans for people with specific disabilities.

Instructional Strategies and Tactics
This website give great examples of different strategies and tactics, in forms of games, to use for ESE students.

**Partners in Policymaking**
Partners in Policymaking was created in Minnesota by the Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities in 1987. Partners is an innovative, competency based leadership training program for adults with disabilities and parents of young children with developmental disabilities

NCD - The National Council on Disability
An independent federal agency making recommendations to the President and Congress on issues affecting 54 million Americans with disabilities. This site contains bulletin updates, newsletter, documents and links to other federal agencies. Visit the Youth/Family Information page devoted to empowering youth with disabilities and their parents at for information on rights, resources for families, and updates on conferences.

Our Kids
Our-Kids is a "Family" of parents, caregivers and others who are working with children with physical and/or mental disabilities and delays. We call the list "Our-Kids". While it isn't exactingly descriptive, it avoids the pitfalls of labeling our kids anything but what they most certainly are: The wonderful little people in our lives.
The Our-Kids list consist of over 700 people representing children of varying diagnosis; everything from indefinite developmental delays and sensory integration problems, to cerebral palsy, to rare genetic disorders.

LD Online
LD Online is a Website that gives tons of inforamtions on all the different types of learning disabilities. It offers links to professionals websites along with links to see the IDEA website.
